Head Start is a federally funded program that provides
comprehensive child and family development services for
families with children from ages three to five. Head Start
services for children focus on health, mental health, child
development and early education services.

K.I.D.S. (Kiamichi INCA Development School): Provides quality
daycare care services and early childhood programs. Located
on the Atoka Campus of Kiamichi Vo-Tech.

JAMM Transit provides public transportation for Johnston,
Atoka, Marshall, and Murray Counties. Handicapped accessible
vehicles are available.

Housing: Provides housing programs for income eligible
families to retain and expand the supply of decent, safe,
sanitary and affordable housing.

Weatherization: Provides assistance for income eligible families
to increase the energy efficiency of their homes.

Clothing Bank: Provides clothing and household items for low-
income families and disaster victims through a clothing bank.  

Food Bank: Provides emergency food assitance for low-income
individuals and families.

Utility Assistance: Provides emergency utility assistance for
families that have exhausted all other resources and face
removal of utility service through the Emergency Food and
Shelter Program and the Salvation Army.

Rent Assistance: Emergency one time rent assistance for
families who face eviction or assistance with first month’s rent
to help homeless obtain shelter.

Emergency Prescription Drug Assistance: Provides emergency
assistance for the purchase of  prescription drugs.

Career Opportunities: Provides residential and vocational
opportunities and support to individuals with developmental
disabilities.


Retired Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP): Provides volunteer
opportunities to people 55 and older to help meet critical
community needs.
