The purpose of a Community Needs Assessment is to identify and prioritize the needs and resources of a defined community. Data is gathered from target populations and results are analyzed in order to understand the causes and conditions of poverty and changing population demographics. INCA's board and leadership use this data to design effective, outcome based programs that will help alleviate poverty. The analyzed data is summarized in a report which can be used to provide justification, both to funders and the public, on the need for resources and how resources are being allocated to programs. INCA conducts a needs assessment every 3 years.
