These programs provide child screenings, developmentally appropriate learning activities, nutritious meals, and family involvement activities designed to support each child’s cognitive, social, and emotional growth. Families are actively engaged through home visits, parent-teacher conferences, and volunteer opportunities that help build strong partnerships between home and school.

About Head Start & Early Head Start

Head Start is a federally funded, comprehensive early childhood development program that promotes school readiness for children from low-income families by combining early education, health, nutrition, and family support services. Head Start primarily serves children ages 3–5, while Early Head Start focuses on infants, toddlers, and expecting families from pregnancy through age 3. Both programs are tailored to meet community needs and emphasize parent involvement, healthy development, and school preparation, helping families navigate resources and strengthen their children’s future success.
